About West Cheshire Warriors (WCW) Netball Club
Our Story
WCW was created in 2021, after a season competing against each other in the Chester Mixed League Our Founders, Cris, Neil and Lauren, decided there was capacity to provide Men’s and Mixed Netball opportunities in Chester.
From this idea WCW was born and we now provide opportunities for Men’s, Mixed, Youth and Ladies; becoming the most inclusive club within our area.
Our Goal/mission
As a club we want to support the growth of Men’s and Mixed Netball by providing an open and inclusive club for all ages. We aim to do this by providing training opportunities and working towards developing junior boys netball which currently has no opportunities for those aged 11 - 14
Our current elite teams of Men and Mixed both perform in the England Men’s and Mixed Nationals as well as National league. We aim to continue to improve our performance and push up the rankings within both categories on the national stage.
Our Club
Inclusive, friendly and passionate, are adjectives which sum up the Warriors way. Our ethos is to “be the team people want to play”
We want everybody to have access to sport. Be that socially, recreational or competitively.
We welcome all regardless of ability, age and gender and strive to break down barriers to the netballing world.
Regardless of ability or experience, Warriors will provide opportunities for all levels, be that competition or fun!
